It is made with basmati rice, spices. Vegetarian option is with Paneer (Cottage Cheese), and Non-veg option is with Chicken.
There are so many variants, one is the Fried, where people just use the old steamed rice and put masala to fry the rice. quick but not so flavors.
Another Preparation is Dum (Steamed) biryani, using the marinated protein cooked along with the rice under the Steam.
